| Description | Vermeule: Amethyst. Intaglio. (Modern silver ring setting) A figure resembling a Mesopotamian king or priest stands to right, holding a sceptre in his lowered right hand and grasping a flowering tree with the left. Graeco-Roman, undoubtedly Eastern Mediterranean work suggested by Achaenenian and older models. |
