A pair of whakakai taringa (earrings), made of pounamu (greenstone). Tear-drop shaped, with metal components at the top of the earring.

Whakakai taringa are ear pendants/earrings that were often given as gifts. When they are worn, they remind the wearer of the person who had gifted them.
