| Description | Human face. Handle nailed to back. Simplified naturalistic. Overhanging brows. Eyes uncarved. Downcurved mouth carved in relief. Blue paint: wide band across eyebrows, eye region and bridge of nose; irises left in natural wood; pupils blue; blue mark down center of lower lip and chin; fine blue flecks on cheeks. Red paint: band below cheeks covering upper lip and bottom of nose; narrow band along cheekbones and across nose; design on forehead; fine dashes on cheeks. |
