| Description | Thick, woven, of the mountaineers. Cords at ends This belt is woven in a herringbone style pattern running the length of the belt (in the warp direction). The selvage edges (running lengthwise) have a supplementary design in alternating black and tan rectangles. The two ends are finished in a brown binding. At one end is a cord. This 66 cm cord originates with 8 twisted cotton (most likely) elements braided (or plaited) into a cord with a decorative repetitive pattern in the colors of brown and tan. Color(s): Shades of tan, brown and black. The attached cordage/tie seems to also include a natural (undyed) cotton. . |
