| Description | Rounded handle with triangular lug, the striking portion of the weapon quadrangular in section, each side curving towards a blunt point, the curved surfaces being concave from side to side. The flat surfaces have four bands of dentate ornament in tiers; two or three of the latter are replaced by zigzags. A Tongan club which somewhat resembles this in outline, but this is probably flatter and is without the peculiar features of the head, is figured in Edge-Partington, Album, I, p. 82, no. 7. |
