| Description | Wooden tableta headdress for a ceremonial dance. The tableta is made from two joined wooden boards with handles at the lower end. The lower end has a horizontal band of black squares above pointed teeth, one of which is broken. The central area has a cutout 18-sided shape outlined in black and stepped pyramid designs. This shape is flanked on either side by cutout diamonds outlined with a green line and a scalloped black line. The top of the tableta has three points outlined with green paint and a scalloped black line. Wooden handle on one side but missing from the other. |
