| Description | Paddle with thick upper portion tapering into a thinner handle on the lower half and flaring out into a thinner, wider portion at the bottom one-fifth; rounded bottom; large hole drilled through the upper portion of the handle on half inch below the top edge. Attached tag in Pennypacker's (?) handwriting reads: "Stirring paddle obtained from Standing Deer, Sooo Band, Cherokee, N.C." Condition: Good. Lower portion shows many cracks along the grain. Registrar's for freezing 3/91. |
