| Description | Mandarin square with Qilin 麒麟, a mythical horse-like animal used on the mandarin squares of wives of first rank military officers. Embroidered in satin stitch on blue-black satin. Body of Qilin has couched filling of twisted blue thread to create a scale effect. Symbols include peaches, peonies, and fungus with bamboo. |
