| Description | Ceremonial blanket (pua). Two panels sewn together longitudinally. Cotton, patterned by warp ikat in red and nautral, with touches of blue. Across each end a row of three large humanoid figures with fangs. Narrow side borders with blue and white woven stripes enclosing sinuous ikat zigzags. A line of blue and white chain stitch across each end. Soft and faded. On one edge, holes mended with orange yarn. |
