| Description | Made to represent bear's paw which brings good luck to the owner. Paul Miles Pamunkey, June trip 1940. Initials M.A.B? carved on the bottom. Painted orange; around the rim are painted 7 blue triangles with black outlining; between the groups of triangles are painted 2 series of dots- 4 blue and one black in the center. There is a geometric design in the base of the ash tray which presumably represents the pad of the bear's paw; the blue triangles might represent the claws. The ash tray is in the shape of a horse shoe; the open end has 4 indentations for cigarettes. Possibly made by Alberta Bradby- MAB. |
