(Unmounted) Filleted draped bust of an elderly bearded and bald man; facing to right. 16th or 17th century. 824, 827, 830, 834, and 842, together with this, appear to have been made up as a set. Although Sommerville terms some of them Philosophers, they could equally well be Old Testament Prophets or even New Testament saints. |
