| Description | Block-printed, mordant- and resist-dyed (pedana kalamkari) handkerchief from Pedana, Krishna Distrct, Andhra Pradesh. Rectangular center, red ground: in black and white, stylized peacock within roundel, a peacock in each corner. Borders, red and black on white ground; inner, conventionalized running flower and leaf motive; outer, large tigers passant. |
