| Description | A kuru pohatu/pahuru (hammerstone) made of silcrete. The hammerstone is ovoid, with an uneven surface. Kuru pohatu were used to break off larger stones to be made into stone implements, such as a toki (adze blade). They were then used to hammer the implement into shape. |
