| Description | Twined spruce root hat. Undecorated, save for a zigzag or "Tree shadow" design woven into the lower half (Frances Paul, 1944 p. 54). A hat band encircles the center of the interior. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, diagonal/twill twining, three-strand; 14 warps, 18 wefts per square inch at rim. Skip stitch. |
