| Description | Sommerville: Sard. Incognito. The dog resembles the dogs of the nineteenth century. Etruscan Seals, Scarabei, Intaglios, and Rings, Case FF. Vermeule: Sardonyx. Intaglio. (Unmounted). An altar with offerings on top flanked by a grasshopper at the left and a dog leaping up at right. an uncertain object, perhaps another insect appears at the bottom. Graeco-Roman. |
