| Description | Double-headed drum, hour-glass shaped body of wood, with incised designs. Skin (goat or antelope) heads attached to outer hoops of hide; braces of sinue between hoops. When pressure is applied to the braces it changes the tension on the skins, thus changing the pitch. |
