| Description | Seated Empress doll for Hinamatsuri or Girl's Day in Japan. Stiff brocade clothes with removable head of wood painted white and black hair. The doll sits on a platform which has a tag on the underside which reads: "Bought in Chinese Quarter in San Francisco 1869." |
