| Description | Vessel in shape of human head. Finely modelled features. Straight-lipped; semitic nose. Neck forms base. Ear plugs. Textured in back to show hair and hairline. Circular medallions with ring of small holes--one on each temple. Headdress with 2 curved points, one over each ear. 6-petalled flower on background of small raised dots between points. Spout sticks straight up out of incised "collar" at top of flared edge. Back of headdress is plain black-brown clay, highly polished. Chimu influenced. Possibly post-Spanish. |
