| Description | Tomb 2A = Herscher Tomb 802A. Red polished III jug with round spout. Incomplete. Light red clay interior. Dark red-brown slip, surface damaged. Round base, ovoid body; convex neck, round spout, rim not preserved; vertical knobbed handle from lower neck to upper body (incomplete); lug at front neckline, not preserved. Relief decoration: punctured band at neckline, extending downward at either side of lug. For shape, cf. _MCBA_, fig. VIII.1 (White Painted), XXVI.13 (Black Slip II). |
