| Description | Cotton huipil. White with red border stripes and a square neck. Multicolor brocade is predominantly red and purple with designs in geometrics and bird forms around the hem. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 28 epi, three ply, white cotton. Warp red border: 52 epi, three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 16 ppi, two strands, three ply. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One panel, three selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
