| Description | The ground is of the natural light colour of the fibre. Designs include: [drawings on card, see photo]. Bands of black and white between bands of blue; a chequer of black and white squares each outlined on two sides with a red line. This is the kind of hammock used mainly by native chiefs and Europeans for travelling. It is hung from a canopy fitted with two poles, which are supported on the heads of four bearers, two at each end. |
