| Description | CBS Register: fragment of clay jar stopper with seal impressions. Hero hunter, lion, crescent. Seal of Mes-an-nipadda, lugal Kiski, dam-nu-gig. UE III: Gilgamish and the bull between two lions rampant, one of which bites him in the shoulder. on either side of the group Enkidu and the hunter-hero armed with a dagger. The latter wears a long beard and a head-dress in the Kish style. Below the cartouche a human Swastika is made of four runners with long hair and beard, armed with dagger and catching each other's foot. This is the seal of mes-an-ni-pad-da lugal kis dam-nu-gig. Clay sealing found in Seal Impression Strata 1-2. The sealing depicts a combact scene and is inscribed with the name of the founder of the First Dynasty of Ur, Mesannepada. |
