| Description | Tourist carving in Sepik River style. Oval wooden mask with slanting, slit eyes cut through. Curved brows project above the raised ridge of the nose, which ends in heart-shaped nostrils. A carved ridge connecting the brows to the tip of the nose describes a flat heart-shaped area in the middle of the face. The mouth is a short straight line in the slightly projecting chin. There is a double arched decoration carved in low relief on the forehead. Hole at top with wire for hanging. |
