Description

This large ceramic storage bowl is wheel made in a convex conoid shape. The exterior is smooth but the interior is roughened by wheelmarks. The exterior surface features five tall floral scroll clusters, possibly trees or herbs, running from the center to the lip of the vessel. The scroll clusters are separated by five series of three superposed rows of birds. Four lines form the lower border. The background is a light yellowish brown while the decorations are dark brown and slightly purple.
