| Description | Plaid sarong with figures (tembe paleka-salunka). Predyed synthetic (nggoli). Machine sewn. Made in 1983, Larodu hamlet. Dark red, with overall design of open wing bitterflies in green, white, blue, yellow. Along vertical seam a vine motif in same colors. Panel defined by yellow zig-zags (nagi). Motifs of sailboats down center, in white and golden yellow, with double row of solid diamonds in green & white across middle. Border stripes green. |
