Description

A wooden patuki (hand club) with an elongated, diamond-shaped head and short handle. The club is undecorated, smooth, and polished. The reke (butt of the weapon) has a circular hole from which an animal skin wrist cord (tau) is attached.

A patuki is a one-handed weapon with a distinct triangular or rectangular cross-section and convex sides. Patuki were used in hand-to-hand combat, generally to strike, parry, and stab.
