| Description | Circular lamp, possibly/probably fake. Buff fabric with orange-brown paint. The paint has an unusual gloss and feel suggesting either forgery or later “restoration/conservation.” The lamp is also suspicious in its lack of a proper spout. The only holes present are the central fill hole and an air hole both placed in the lamp’s concave discuss. Two incised circles surround this depression with a small handle indicating the back of the lamp. |
