| Description | Flat base, barrel-shaped body, high narrow neck, flaring rim; loop handle connects lower part of neck and shoulder; encircling neck above handle is wide ridge. FIne brown ware with polished brown surface; black painted decoration in horizontal bands encircling upper part of body and neck; handle is painted; opposite handle on shoulder are 3 concentric circles. Fitzgerald: “Bottle of Cypriote type. Fine light brown ware, with polished red brown surface and black decoration. E. of Temple area” |
