| Description | Rim fragment of a large blue-and-white dish with plain flaring rim; light grey porcelain body; mat glaze; there appears to be a white layer of some softer material between body and glaze, but this does not show in a new fracture and may be only a deterioration of the inner edge of the glaze due to exposure; densely painted inside in rich blue. Probably 16th century. |
