| Description | Gritty brown ware; the neck and lower part of the body covered with red wash, leaving a band where the handle joins the body which is filled in with vertical stripes in red wash. Concave base, squat body, high wide neck expanding to the rim; a broad loop handle connects the neck and shoulder. Handmade. Oren: "Pitcher. Gritty brown ware; red wash and red spots on shoulder." |
