| Description | Skirt length bought in Guatemala city market. Cotton, plain weave, red with widely spaced weft stripes of indigo-white jaspe and cream colored weft faced stripes. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 38 epi, single, Z twist, red cotton with two singles, Z twist, indigo cotton in selvedge. Weft: 42 ppi, single, Z twist, red cotton with indigo/white jaspe and cream cotton in basketweave. Balanced plain weave. Woven on a foot loom." |
