| Description | Long oval wooden sounding-box covered with rawhide through which the wooden stem passes twice emerging under a round hole near the lower end of the sounding-box. Three strings (missing) were originally fastened to thong rings near top of stem and to the three prongs at its lower end. Played with a plectrum or a bow (?). Instrument of identical type known from Tibati, Adamaua. Attribution to Dahomey due to Oldman. |
