| Description | Intact. Fabric as MS 1030 and MS 1032. Handmade. Two spouts at points where handle is attached. Exterior: white slip. Three bands of red connecting hour-glass motifs on handle. Between motifs and spouts: heads of snakes whose bodies extend across upper zone on both obverse and reverse. Snake heads done in profile with dot eye; bodies outlined by dots for about half their length. Main decorated zone: groups of 8 perpendicular lines alternating with groups of 8 waves lines; lowest zone: chevrons replaced waved lines. Shape is rare. |
