| Description | Red clay bowl (or pot) with snake and boss ornamentation; two vertical loop handles on shoulder Cooking pot (olla) with a globular body, no neck/collar, flattened rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. The vessel has a red slip (?) with white painted lines around the handles and rim. There are two raised snakes on the body an raised bumps pushed out from the interior. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior and a scraped finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink on the bottom of the base. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "3314." |
