| Description | With cover (MS1341B). Bucchero. Graffito decoration. Heads and rosettes in relief. Stamped and tooled. Egg-shaped body, slender concave neck, low flared foot. Two thick grooved handles. 7 releif gorgoneia slternating with relief rosettes on body. Uneven tongues. On shoulders, incised x's and zigzags on both shoulders and neck. Lid: grooved tongues. Fabric: sandy grey core with flecks of white stone. Uneven firing. Condition: poor. Thick yellow deposit on lower body, inside handles and neck, inside of lid. A few chips missing. Technique: both vase and lid thrown. Gorgoneia and rosettes stamped. |
