| Description | Cotton huipil. Blue with narrow yellow and red stripes- all with red weft. Brocaded in bands of geometric designs and a heavy band of zigzags across shoulder in deep rose, yellow, white and purple silk. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 52 epi, single ply, two twists, two strands, navy, red, yellow cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, single ply, two twists, two strands, red cotton with two yellow strands of shadow stripes. Warp is predominantly plain weave. One panel, four selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
