| Description | Sommerville: Onyx. Tiberius, second Emperor of Rome. Gold and Silver Rings - Cameos, Case KKK. Vermeule: Sardonyx. Cameo. (Modern Gold Ring Setting) Laureate head of an imperial person to right. Sommerville identifies him as Tiberius, but the features are copied from coin portraits of Emperor Nero. Neo-Classic. In very good imitation of ancient cameos. |
