| Description | Red cotton gauze weave. Designs of stylized animals, birds and geometric forms. Multi-colored cotton, silk and wool threads used for embroidered designs. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 48 epi, single, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 36 ppi, single, Z twist, red cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One panel, four selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
