| Description | Gelede mask of wood. Face has 3 vertical black stripes on each cheek. The eyes are painted blue, the lips white, the chin has a black goatee. There is a twisted carved ring around the face which is painted red, white, and blue. An interwoven double ring makes up the headdress, and has 5 red-painted square boxes attached to it. There were originally 2 painted birds atop the headdress, but only one remains. |
