Blue frit. Bearing a figure of Ptah holding a was sceptre, before which are two djed pillars below two other obscure signs.

“Description: Blue frit. Porthorax and wing-case indicated, with head trapezoidal, two eyes outside and triangles on elytra.

Design: The winged disc of Behdet of Edfu on the top, and below the god Ptah holding a was scepter with a double djed in front. Similar scenes usually depict two ba-birds or soul birds, which are replaced here by a twisted cord and a man. Memphitic themes are generally Ramesside, and this particular scarab is assigned by Rowe in the field catalogue to the late XVIIIth or XIX Dynasty.”
