Description
Curved, rectangular wooden dish, pierced on one edge for twisted plant fiber hanging cord. The culture of Wuvulu Island, located in the Bismarck Archipelago, is more Micronesian than Melanesian. Elegantly simple food bowls like this one are typical of the minimalist Micronesian carving style.
