| Description | Delicate gobelin border with mythological figures. In 4 pieces, very brittle. Very fine tapestry weave border strips (fragments of). This piece has at least 4 readable fragments of any size and multiple other small bits. One of the fragments has a "knitted" strip. The design is a mythological figure. Weft fringe. Evidence that this border was attached to a "crepe" piece (small fragment of "crepe" piece still attached). Color(s): Brown, red, pink, white, yellow, blue (?) and black. |
