| Description | decoration in superposed color; Praxias Group; scene of death of Aegisthus? Clytemnestra. A: L. to R.: Male figure facing right, holding a diagonal spear in 1. hand: Orestes, scabbard in 1. hand, sword in right, attacking Aegisthus who is semi-reclining on the floor; behind Aegisthus a female figure raises double axe above head. B: 4 female figures all facing left, arms raised or outstretched in various ways. Intact. Color in general well preserved though it has disappeared in some places. |
