| Description | One handle restored in plaster; chips missing from rim. Ring foot. Rounded profile continuous from lip to foot. Recurved handle set at a 45 degree angle to upper wall. On floor in center of interior, beneath glaze: a frontal lion's (?) head surrounded by 6 palmettes, the group encircled by 3 lines of rouletting. Shiny, almost metallic black glaze over all, evidently wheel applied, except on underside of foot. |
