| Description | Mended and plastered, section of rim missing. Paint chipping. Flaring base. Pear shaped body flares out to high GD, then tapers at shoulder into neck. Wide out turned rim. 2 horizontal loop handles at GD. Thin white painted dec. On base, 3 lines. On body; dec. in registers; triangles; 3 lines; triangles; 5 linesl running guilloche (even with handles); 3 lines outlined birds (shoulder); 4 lines (neck); narrow cable pattern; 3 linesl groups of 5 vertical lines alternating with Xs, horizontal lines above and below. Bands on handles. 6 grooves on interior rim. Coarse clay, thick fabric, with bits and small pebbles. |
